Bauhaus Dessau Foundation purchased an international high-quality collection of original Bauhaus photographies which were compiled by famous collector Thomas Walther from Vaduz, who already showed a collection at the New York Museum of Modern Art among others.
The Walther Collection at Bauhaus Dessau Foundation combines 59 Photographies, made by 31 teachers and students of Bauhaus between 1925 and 1931. They show scenes of daily life and lessons, as well as stage work at Bauhaus Dessau, Bauhaus Buildings in Dessau and Bauhaus products made by students.
Photographers of the pictures were Herbert Bayer,  Albert Braun, Paul Citroen, Edmund Collein, Erich Comeriner, T. Lux Feininger, Werner David Feist, Grit Kallin-Fischer, Kurt Kranz, Heinz Loew, Hannes Meyer, László Moholy-Nagy, Lotte Stam-Beese and Werner Zimmermann.
The pictures now can be seen for the first time in an exhibition.
