Dear DOCOMOMO friends,

The City of Brno – second largest city of the Czech Republic – has the pleasure to inform you about its presentation in New York on October 1-2, 2012.

The event will introduce not only the exceptional cultural and architectural genius loci of Brno but also its business, research and development potential.

Day 1<http://newyork.brno.cz/day-one/> will be dedicated to famous UNESCO listed unique functionalist monument – Villa Tugendhat.

Day 2<http://newyork.brno.cz/day-two/> will introduce the business, research and development potential of the city with a conference “Brno – Knowledge Economy City“.

Presentation of the City of Brno will be held under the auspices of the Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs, the U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic, the Czech Ambassador to the U.S., the Mayor of the City of Brno, the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and is organized in co-operation with the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic and the Czech Center New York.
