International Conference "Filling the Gaps: World Heritage & the 20th Century"

Kiran Joshi & Rohit Jigyasu, Conference Coordinators, have informed DOCOMOMO International about the International Conference "Filling the Gaps: World Heritage & the 20th Century" organized by the Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture (CSPA), India, ICOMOS-India, ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on 20th Century Heritage (ISC20C),  National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) and World Heritage Institute of Training and Research-Asia Pacific (WHITRAP). The conference is being held on 3rd and 4th October 2013 in Chandigarh.

During the conference, noted experts from various parts of the world would deliver key note speeches and deliberate upon various aspects of conserving 20C heritage. The event includes peer reviewed  Paper & poster presentations, as well as an exhibition of studies by individuals and schools of architecture.

An information brochure for the event is attached. The detailed programme would be regularly updated.

We may also mention that this is first major conference on 20C heritage to be organized in India.
