LDE-HERITAGE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
Heritage and the Sustainable Development Goals
26-28 NOVEMBER 2019, TUDELFT, DELFT, THE NETHERLANDS

Heritage—natural and cultural—plays a key role in the sustainable development of cities and communities.
Goal 11, target 4, of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) emphasizes the relation between heritage
and sustainability, among other international policies. Heritage also plays a role in many more goals and
targets. How can academics and practitioners work together to further our understanding and impact on
heritage conservation, and consequently, on the sustainable development of cities and communities?
This conference aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

Only contributions in English can be accepted.
The abstracts will be peer reviewed by the Scientific Committee, and when accepted you are
welcome to submit a full paper (3000 words) for revision. Accepted papers will be published as open
proceedings, together with the (authorized) videos of the paper presentations, in our conference website. A
selection of papers will be published in 2020 at the Routledge Handbook on Heritage and Sustainability,
edited by Ana Pereira Roders and Carola Hein.
